Before changing a watering schedule, look at where the plant actually lives. A room that feels bright to us can still be dim for a plant several metres from a window.nnWatch the plant over time: stretched growth, smaller leaves and a slow loss of colour can all be clues that the current position is not working. Move gradually, especially with plants that have been in low light for a long period.nnCare is observation before intervention. That principle prevents many of the dramatic fixes that create a second problem while trying to solve the first.
Plant care always depends on the actual species, growing medium and conditions. Use these notes as a practical starting point, then observe the plant in front of you.
